(Rudimentary) Damn, Mom told me the 5th grade was'nt far enough Hell, I don't mind answering The dumb ones to a newbee is the only ones I sometimes get right. This place needs the newbee's, maybe it will livin things up. We need more to talk about other than telling Dan-o how he's going down at the Bash, hell everyone KNOWS that.windsor wrote:I think it's the other site has a ton of new members that joined after the sell out and seem to be asking really rudimentary questions. Those that know are still helpful and willing to answer their questions and do so, even over there... I'm still over there all the time. Honestly, I wish there was only 1 site...but that's just me

I think that is the main reason for the slow down.
I browse alot more now, but help with questions if I feel I can help.

Plus, I don't know anything that might help anyone unless the're interested in cramming too much power into a too heavy car.....lol.....
I've also been doing some upgrades (or whatever you call it ) to the Torino, got the floor cut out and the E4OD installed last week,

My questions at times are rudimentary I believe. But this is the first time I ever built a engine, and not knowing anyone nearby to show me the ropes...I got to sites like this to ask questions and learn. Have to start somewhere. Hope I am not too much of a annoyance.

I still go over to the old site and like doing it,But I feel my close friends are here. And for some reason it seems that the new people that come on here don't really ask that many elementary ?'s. I don't really mind helping the new people we were all new once.

Re: This site...
I guess for me it comes down to once my engine is built I don't have enough money to go changing things up. Where I would love to talk about a new set of aluminum cyclinder heads but I feel like there is nothing new to talk about any more. We all know which cylinders someone should go with if they want to keep the factory valve pierce point.
I guess my only question I have is how much hp & trq should my engine produce. Which it's funny to ask that question because it's such a newbe question. But every time I talk to a converter guy he would really like to have some sort of idea. All I tell him is I figure 1hp per cubic inch. as far as trq,,,,,,, who knows? Yet I read of some builds very simular to mine that have unleashed close to 700hp with the same cylinder type of cylinder heads.

Chilly just ripped me off on a car !!!! He was getting rid of a Capri with a stroker Windsor/C4 combo. He said I could buff it out and run it, but he wanted to remove a "couple of small parts" off of it. After 15 minutes at my house, this is what was left !!!!
I don't know how I am going to explain this to Ellen. She was expecting that my 200 bucks was going to buy her something that she could drive back and forth to work. Wait a minute..... Ellen doesn't work.
But seriously, Chris is a good guy and has received an unwarranted amount of cyber BS for making a decision that that he felt was in the best interest of his family. I have met him, and I can say that if ANY of you met him, you would agree that he is a good guy and a gearhead just like the rest of us. It is one thing to talk shit about a stranger on a message board, but we are all real people with real families, and we do what we gotta do. I WISH that I could have thought up www.460ford.com. Flame on............
