Cooling Nightmare pics added

Random cooling problems have been a topic lately, well I tore down an engine on the weekend and after head removal and turning the engine over on the stand I heard a "ting"... after removing the pan for inspection, I rotated the engine half upright and sticking out of one of the elongated cooling passages was an immediately identifiable item partially sticking out... it was the edge of a frost plug  After a little wiggling and prying it did come out but what kind of cooling issue would that have been to chase?

That's what I always thought until I seen the precarious place this one ended up, in the drivers side rear #8 coolant feed, which I believe is what feeds the coolant to the drivers side cylinder head.
