It was probably the best time I've had at any race even though I didn't win anything and had trouble. I wouldn't have made the last attempt without the help of 61coon! He hunted up a tow vehicle while Blake helped me get it ready to go and not sure who loaned it to us but thank you! I made 5 passes all together, 4.99 three times in a row,5.04 lifted early, and 4.99 without water that's from midday to midnight!
Thank you for not saying who you lifted early on. But some of us know. Lol.
Buy the time I ran you my car had 9 whle pass's on it. I expected to have a few bugs. That front limiter that was hung up threw Me a loop.
It ran good sat. Went 5.68 at 124 on foot brake motor only. I dialed it back to 5.70s it was very consists at that.
Note to self. 2x4's , 3.55 gear, TIGHT nos converter is not the way to go for a foot brake car. My leg still hurts from holding the brake.
David Cole is the genuine article, guys. He and Ward were both there to do their part and then some. When I had what I thought was a t-brake solenoid problem, I went searching for a replacement. David said he had one at home and wished me luck. Sometime later (while he was in the middle of going rounds in the heads up race) he remembered that he had one in his trailer. Busy as he was, he dropped what he was doing, grabbed the solenoid and hurried way down to my pit and then back to his car.....the man was still thinking about my petty ass problem.
I won't forget it, Dave.

we all lived through it and cars can be fixed! Hope to see you next year514Fox87 wrote:Lee it was great meeting you. What a deadly consistent car! Hopefully it isn't hurt very bad. I had a great time even though I've yet to win a round in KY. But I will say I had the ride of my life Fri. night one I hope never to experience again. Luckily I only have bent header tubes, busted starter and high gear clutches in the two speed. I forget who said it but the clutches in my trans probably burnt up from no oil. It was all in the tail shaft.

Re: Good weekend with good folks!
We had a great time. A few oops and Blake had me get a start retard out of the car and then Lee gave me some good advice on starting the car and had no other problems except flooding the car before the first round of heads up eliminations.
Good meeting friends and meeting those on here putting a face with the avatars.
Thanks to Wes and his hard working daughter who can also wheel a race car.

Just about when you get your car tamed at the starting line ... something else goes wrong
Melvin, you have a bullet there, if you get the chance to use it.

Damon, here's hoping your trans fared better than mine. I had to use 2 rolling jacks to get it off the trailer.

Kim,
Ouch... Sorry to hear. We rolled mine out of the trailer when we got home Saturday. Hopefully I can get it apart in the next few weeks.

Hey Damon ... I remember a time at a past Bash where you and car unintentionally reached for the sky like Melvin did this past weekend.
It was good to see you there again; (and thank Tracie one more time for that late coffee).

That's more like it After watching/ listening to it for the 4th time I had to give it the thumbs up, you and Wes were hauling ass, and the shut down looks kinda short, but there was no laundry dumped

Re: Good weekend with good folks!
i had enough room to stop without the chute. It takes a little while to cool the brakes off afterwards but the chute is a pia! if I was towing back I wouldn't mind as much.FalconEh wrote:That's more like it After watching/ listening to it for the 4th time I had to give it the thumbs up, you and Wes were hauling ass, and the shut down looks kinda short, but there was no laundry dumped
