FTI Powerglide Bellhousing adapter
I am switching to a powerglide due to needing a shorter length transmission.
I found a good deal on a new FTI with a 2 piece case.
My question is, are there any other options other than the $800 FTI bellhousing. FTI Part # FBBFK
I already have an engine plate, so I really don't want to use one like the ATI.
Any Suggestions?

I'm 99% sure that the FTI trans and bells are ATI pieces with an FTI label. AFAIK, ATI and Reid and JW are the only ones that make them. The trans builders put their metal tag on over the mfg logo. The FTI price prob included the entire kit with bell, flexplate, crank adapter and hardware. You can buy just the bell for under $330. I would call ATI to verfify.

I'm 100% positive the FTI case and majority of their parts are re-badged ATI parts. I just bought a brand new ATI glide and got their bell package while purchasing. If buying the whole ATI package alone, they only charge $650 for everything, and you can buy direct.

I have an ATI case and BBF bell. Bought direct from ATI, or maybe it was Summit. No problems with it. Running a JW Wheel flexplate and have no issues.
