Congratulations!

Do you have the flow numbers of the heads? What size valves?
What compression?

With an intake/exhaust ratio of somewhere around .6, it would seem like you would want a camshaft with a large split between the intake duration and exhaust duration so as to let the cylinder "blow down" at higher RPMs. I believe that camshaft left power on the table. More carb! Very Happy

no flo #s home port ex bumps out victor match int 13.8 comp 2.19 1.76 fierra valves i did the block oil mods and engine assembly 2 dowel pin cam gear upgraded to 1/2 in retaining bolt no elect water pump alternater also turning manual fuel pump had 5 1/2 lbs stock dist had 1150 dom max was 658hp 687 tq the 950 stomped it i wanted stock valve covers but wouldt clear girdles they was laughing at it when i got to there shop mudd falling off some of the used parts from last year 1.78 headers that's what we had at the time

Good numbers especially for a single pattern cam. The early peak given the duration suggests a lack of intake port imo.

Do a 270 / 290 split and you will not only find HP but extend your usable RPM range.

thanks for the info im open to suggestions working on another one now and can post pics of ports and will have victor intake on it u talking a custom cam or off the shelf

Custom! Not an off the shelf "Chevy" grind for your Ford. Your Ford has different requirements.

Very nice. I wonder how much the port job is worth over a set of stock runner heads? Just out of curiosity.

At 13.8 to 1 I think there is more in it but would need to to know the flow numbers.
