MSD crack trigger issue
This guestion /problem is what a friend is having so I'm trying to help. New grudge motor 532 I think. Nitrous deal. Just started the tuning and carb/timing adjustments. He has it timed at 32 degrees. Engine runs fine , sounds real strong and crisp like a race motor should. Then he connected the trigger when to the equation and he now reads 320 degrees on the light. Engine ran the same. What did he do wrong. Has to be a wiring issue. I'm not sure because I haven't looked at it personally , just what he explained to me at lunch today. Someone on here knows this answer and I feel it a simple solution but cant put my finger on it

Re: MSD crack trigger issue
If it ran the same you might have it close, but you still need to check some things
did you phase in the roter?
check gap on trigger?
is dist locked out?
etc etc

Rich, you hit on two of the most common mistakes. Non lock out dost. and not phased rotor. OP. Drill a hole at # 1 tower dist
Timing light at drilled hole will tell you
