F250 460 Starter question extra wire

I just bought one of the starters for a 1995 460 ci engine that goes for a truck. It has an extra black wire that comes off the solenoid. What do you do with this wire as my Torino has just the one big cable?

The big starter with the GM type solenoid used a small jumper piece of shaped sheet metal which just went from the large battery wire terminal to that smaller "solenoid activation" lug.

The later small starters had the wires rearranged at the Ford solenoid and ran two wires to the starter.

I just did a search and found some old posts. It looks like you take the big wire off the solenoid on the inner fender that goes to the starter and place that on the other side of the solenoid to where the HOT battery wire is located.
Then you take a jumper wire and mount that to the location where the big starter wire used to be located on the solenoid down to the small stud on the starter.

want a diff , or better  starter, get a power master
