Edelbrock Performer RPM Heads
Hello all,
I am currently looking at purchasing a car that has a 545 BBF in it all nicely done. The motor currently has Edelbrock Performer RPM heads (not the best I know) on the motor. What heads can I put on this motor as a upgrade where I would not have to change pistons, header ect? This is a drag car and I am looking for max performance. The car also has a Edelbrock Victor intake on it as well. Any information or suggestions would be great.
Thank You

Re: Edelbrock Performer RPM Heads
Who told you they aren't very good?
Those heads work fine, I'd just send them out for a port job and maybe install some bigger valves and an updated valve job.
I have a set of home ported ones that made 800hp ona 466 they aren't bad.

My thoughts, exactly.
Re: Edelbrock Performer RPM Heads
Well if I purchase the car it sounds like it might be worth having the heads worked. Thanks for the feedback.

Re: Edelbrock Performer RPM Heads
Also how do the vale angles on the Edelbrock head compare to a FMS SCJ, Kasse P-51 or the AFR heads?

Well said . I like them Have made some good power on them. They do have some odd lumps and bumps but some porting gives nice results
