Most Big block Chevy flanges have square ports and will need to be cut and spread apart very slightly to increase port spacing from 4.840" to 4.900"; the bolt pattern is exactly the same.
Re: EX 514 header flanges
My BBC flanges fit without cutting anything. I have 2.5" tubes so no issues with covered ports.

Re: EX 514 header flanges
All of the A head and the EX 514 are 4.840 bore spacing on the exhaust, and
most BBC use the round ports.I have a pattern to cut those, but if you use a round
flange on the EX 514 it will not fit the port. This is a max effort pulling engine and they must fit
fit the port. I will try a set of chevy squire ports. The only problem is i'am in Tn. and the
motor is in Iowa. thanks

There must have been different EX514 heads produced with different exhaust patterns because the EX514 heads I have at the shop measure a 4.900" bore spacing from port to port and the bolt spacing seems to be that way too; (the same as the original Ford Motorsport A460 heads).
I know that the TFS heads have 4.840" exhaust flange port and bolt spacing and the IDT heads have 4.900" exhaust port spacing but, have the bolt patterns at 4.840" spacing.
Re: EX 514 header flanges
I own a aluminum ex514 headed pump gas motor and once brought some shorty Chevy headers to try and fab up a hot side for turbo and the center ports would not line up. Gave headers away.

Re: EX 514 header flanges
the EX514 heads are 4.9. They are a chevy bolt pattern, but not a chevy port really.
We always cut the flanges apart to fit, this is what is needed. All the flanges you will buy will be 4.84
call 8157276331 glen or joe c. , make sure to tell em I sent ya. they can order or have the flanges. Im getting ready to order another set for a 545 for a guy myself.

Re: EX 514 header flanges
that would be why mine works,IDT heads. I never had any ex514 heads but do have old Motorsports and they are definitely different,I thought they were the only ones.rmcomprandy wrote:cool40 wrote:My BBC flanges fit without cutting anything. I have 2.5" tubes so no issues with covered ports.
