Re: Big bore Windsor build
I bought a Canton pan, P/N 15-694 and it does not fit my block. I have the Ford Racing SVO block with 4 bolt main caps on 2 thru 5.
It will not clear the rear cap, its too large!!. The way the pan curves around in the rear, it was hitting the cap, and the whole pan needs to move forward about 3/8" of a inch. But this pan fits in the chassis, so I decided to cut it and modify it.
Basically, the whole pan is too short and I needed to extend the back "wall" of the pan. Im still working on it.

Canton also makes that pan, (a different part number), for a Ford Performance BOSS and Dart blocks which will clear the side of the main caps and the rear cap ... their regular pan will not.
Re: Big bore Windsor build
Yeah, I figured that out after I started cutting!! LMAO
Oh well, its an easy mod to do and once its done, I can move on to the next step.
I wish I knew how to post pics.

I think 700 will be real close. That extra 50 gonna take some some attention to detail! Lol. Good luck on build should run good. What are you putting it in?

I plan on putting it in the 64 fairlane in my avatar. I would really like to get 750 at the flywheel! Thanks
