4.6 dohc out of a lincoln continental
Hello all. I have a 4.6 dohc engine out of a 98 continental. I am looking for a bell housing plate to convert it to a regular small block pattern. Any help would be great.

What transmission are you trying to mate to?

4.6 bell housing
I was planning on using either a small block c6 or a manual trans for the same. I have looked around and nobody makes an adapter. Short of building my own adapter plate or bell housing I'm at a loss at what to do.

Performance Auto makes a bellhousing for a C4 to mod motor. WTH would you want a C6 for?

LMR sells a whole kit.

when you say manual are you talking junky old 4 speed manual? Any late model 5 speed from a mod motor would work.

mod motor trans adpapter
I was going to use a c6 because I have one. And the 4 speed is an old one at that. Going to put this in a rock crawling buggy so weight is not much of an issue. thanks for the info, this is really helpful. The only reason I have this motor is it was cheap. 40 dollars cheap.

mod motor trans adapter
This motor does not have the standard mod motor bell housing. It came out of a front wheel drive car. Hence the need for an adapter
