Nick, you should be able to find motor mounts pretty easy I would imagine if you search as they had 429 engines in those cars that year IIRC.I had a 1978 LTDII that I put a 460 in back in the 90's IIRC I used motor mounts from a 1972 or 1973 Thunderbird with a 460 in it[I took them off the car in the JY]I had many busted knuckles though!!!! I used Hooker 6126 Headers IIRC!!!

ltd's and gal-x-e's came with 429s 68 and up , same mounts as 72 torino,and headers.
I have had 5 of the 71 72 big FORDs with 429s, fun cars. One was a 4 speed but I sold it before I finished it

I've always liked these 70-71 Custom 500's. I think dirty Harry drove one.

Dirty Harry, White lightning??? You guys are a bunch of OLD farts
I guess since I've seen those shows that makes me an Old fart too..
Re: 1971 Ford LTD ?
I love a fast land barge. You can probably skip the 302 badges...nobody will bite on 'em with a big ol' stroker shaking the car and the ground.

I like it !
It would be cool to keep it low with maybe a fender skirt to hide the rim depth/tire size, and a few mufflers per side for the quiet. Definitely will pin the fun meter.

I think I may have a set of the mounts in my basement. There is a nice looking 2 door Lincoln down the street from my office. Been for sale a long time. Birmingham

Re: 1971 Ford LTD ?
There was the identical car in our neighborhood a few years back. Pretty sure it was just a 302 but would have been an excellent candidate for a big block swap. The difference from Galaxie, Galaxie 500, LTD is
the trim level. The green one pictured is not really a Galaxie, it's plain old Custom 500.
Pretty sure they were available with the 429 police interceptor.
