a429 heads

I got to get new rocker arms I pull my valve covers off to check my lass and found 2 bad rockers looking around the Harland Sharp Original Roller Rockers S4073 they say Designed for Cobra Jet Style Heads Only do they work good on the old A429 heads. I have Dove Manufacturing and have cracked 2 of them at the roller tip so not going to replace the 2 bad ones instead I buy a new set. I also was looking at the COMP Cams Ultra Pro Magnum XD Roller Rocker Arms 1830-16. Got to get some rocker arm so I can get back to the track next weekend. Just trying to figure out which ones will work the best on my heads.

I just use 2 sets on 2 diff engs,both a429 heads, same as one of my own. I have used them a lot on a429s  scj's, doves,etc etc

Just check your rocker geometry/push rod length with the new rocker arms.
Different brands of rocker arms typically have different pushrod cup locations.
This may require shorter or longer push rods than you have now.

Yes I know about checking the push rods as I run 2 different length with the old rockers I bought the Crane Gold as the HS they could not tell me if they would clear my springs or not. The Comps would not clear my polylock they showed .500 I need .530 for my long polylocks for the stud girdle. Crane shows they will clear the polylock and springs

not un common to do a little machine work on the bottom of the hs rockers for big springs for clearance
