460 cheap build

Early 70s block, stock crank, scat h beams, flat tops. Herbert solid roller 640, 640 242@050 110 lobe sep. Stock a429 heads , 850 Holley on 2” open spacer. 2” headers. I believe the cam could be better but I did some swapping and got the stuff cheap so that’s what it is for the mud truck. Made 542hp at 6000 and 565 ft lbs at 4700. I’ll try to figure out how to post some pictures.

I'm close to the same combo on my engine stock crank .030 over 466,Eagle h-beams,SRP Flat Tops,Herbert Solid Roller .670-.690 Lift 256-266 duration @.050,A-429 Cobra Jet Aluminum Heads gasket matched and bowl work,1,000 cfm Holley HP,Victor 4150 flange intake and 2" MAC headers although i've never had mine on a dyno!!! IMO your dyno numbers seem pretty good!!!

A Little porting, better cam and a 1050 Dominator and you'll be pushing 700
