Rocker Options

AFR 315 Headed 547, Pump Gas, 6500-6700 RPM Max, HYD Roller cam (less than 500lbs open pressure), SR Lifter, ect....

So here's the question, if you had the option to run the YT6321 platinum rockers or a set of stud mount COMP XD's with a girdle which would you choose? The YT's will end up being more $$ but the difference is marginal, and before you say just buy TD's or Jessel's those are both great valve control devices but WAY overkill for this application.

If anyone has some installation instructions for the YT6321's id love to take a look at them, I cant seem to find any real installation instructions on YT's website. The next option will be to email YT and see what they are willing to provide.

But getting to your question, if the valvetrain is not extreme, you can use the stud mount and a good stud girdle for far less money and it will be fine. Since you state its a hydraulic roller cam with solid roller lifters, the ramp rates will be a bit more mild than a solid roller cam, thus less "beating" on the rocker arm.

But a shaft system allows you to grow into a much more wild valvetrain later down the line if you so wish....and it'll already be in place!!

Its really just a decision as to what you want. They will both work fine, one is cheaper.

That's why I was looking at the Yella Terra, you can find the platinum series for under $800 vs the COMP XD's and a girdle for $600 or so.
