still no pic, my father was stationed in Okinawa , Japan during the Vietnam war.

My Uncle Daniel was drafted just after high school 1965. After boot camp and training, they dropped him in the jungles of Vietnam in 67.
Right away, he was in the craziest battles one can imagine. He did 4 years there, returned home in 71 and in 72 he was hired by the U.S. Post office and worked there for 45 years!! Retired in 2017.

The place was a shit hole !! Freezing cold rain at night , sweltering heat & high humidity during the day ! it was not fun ! but made me a pretty good Hunter as I make shell go down range count every time as maybe" That Moose Might shoot Back !!" PS , hunters get to be better Shooter when the target Shoots Back !!!
