New bolts are 3 days out. Can I just use grade 8 bolts with a lock washer and locktight?

Went to the auto parts store, they had some mr.gasket pressure plate bolts..the wrong size of course, but all they are is shouldered bolts that were cut down to size with lock washers. I ordered some arp ones, I just wait till Monday. And work on something else for now
