Edelbrock 35680 Pro-Flo 4 EFI system.
I'm building a semi-mild, street 521 CJ. The heads are mildly ported CJ iron heads, street hydraulic roller cam, headers, in a 1971 Cyclone Spoiler with a C6. I don't want to put the heavy cast iron intake back on or the carb, but because of the ram air set up, I can't go too tall with an intake, without modifying the air cleaner base. I didn't want to do that, so I'm trying to find another way to go. I thought about the Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 EFI #35680 for Ford 429/460 Big-Block Engines, but I'm not sure how compatible this is with CJ heads. Any advise is appreciated. Thanks for reading.

The intake with the Pro Flow kit is based on the Torker 2 intake, for some reason they called it the Victor EFI intake?? It can be port matched to work with CJ style heads.

Considering the Pro Flow kit myself.

Re: Edelbrock 35680 Pro-Flo 4 EFI system.
Thanks for the info. Some good ideas on port matching. I don't mind a little porting. I wrote Edelbrock this message the other day, "Does this system match up to stock Ford 429 Cobra Jet head intake ports? The CJ heads are different than the lower performance 429/460 heads. Thanks." The reply was, "Richard, this Pro-Flo 4 EFI Kit uses the Torker II Intake Manifold, and it has enough material to cover all the cylinder head intake ports, we just installed one on the SVO Racing 514 Crate Engine with excellent success...." As far as I'm concerned, that's not a good answer. I'm sure their 514 crate engine didn't have iron CJ heads.fordguy69 wrote:The intake with the Pro Flow kit is based on the Torker 2 intake, for some reason they called it the Victor EFI intake?? Re: Edelbrock 35680 Pro-Flo 4 EFI system.
I have the Torker 2 on a 466 with Blue Thunder CJ heads (which if I am not mistaken are nearly identical the iron CJ heads intake ports) and on a 521 with AFR heads.
The T2 has plenty of meat to seal on both of them.
I don't think you would have any issues with the iron CJ's. Port the manifold according to Randy Malik's instructions in the thread I referenced earlier and it should work fine.

Thanks again fordguy69. I'm sure I can make it work. I read what you had sent. It sounds simple enough. Now I just have to buy one.

Edelbrock Pro-Flo 4 EFI #35680 for Ford 429/460 Big-Block Engines
I asked Edelbrock for more info regarding manifold fit up on the iron CJ heads and this is their reply.
Yes the ports are different, we will suggest to bolt it on out-of-the-box, you are only flowing air through the intake manifold with direct port injection...
It doesn't even mention port matching. I always thought port matching was a must, at least make them close. Smaller intake manifold ports are better than the reverse. Less air turbulence. Any suggestions or comments? Thanks

fordguy69, I purchased this system. Edelbrock sent an email out over the 4th of July, with 15% off all their stuff. I decided to buy it. I haven't gotten it at this time and it will be some time before I install it. I'll let you know how things go. Thanks!
