hbstang,
Are your Boss heads stock out of the box, or are they modified in some way?

Do you think the power would have kept going up if you revved it higher?

thanks for the replies.the Kaase heads and intake were ported by Kaases guy Chris by hand.i was told it wouldnt help power much, but did it anyway,in case i want to use the heads later on a bigger inch motor.
compression ended up more because of block being decked and pistons out by .010 etc.wanted it around 11-1 or less.11.6 is a little high for pump gas and a little low for race gas.on one pull it went to 7200 but peak was still at 7000,but it didnt drop off much.lash went from .014 cold on initial to .030 after break in,so we set it at .005 cold.oil pressure did a big jump to 109 psi that was odd.was strong all the way.Kaase oil pump.Steve Brule did a lot of tunning to get afr were it was.
the engine sounded angry at full tilt!
