C6 band adjustment
Need a little advice. I believe normal adjustment for the band is to tighten to 120 in lbs, then back off 1-1/2 turns and tighten the nut. This is what I used for my Broader VB, but I was looking on TCI's site for my spare trans/ TCI Vb, and they say to tighten to 120 in lbs then back off 4 turns. Does this sound right?
Thanks

Alan,......
I had a Band Adjustment discussion with my Trans builder a few years ago,....and I told him the very same thing about TCI saying to back it off 4 full turns. In a nut-shell,....he told they're dumb as a rock,....and that spec,...is CRAZY. Said it wouldn't even apply the band backing it off that much.

IIRC, Transgo instructions state tighten adjuster to 120 in lbs then loosen until you can just turn the output shaft(I did this with driveshaft/slip yoke installed), it wound up being 1 1/4 turns out, then tighten the locknut. Been this way for a while with no issues.
