Looks to me like
the bottom of top part was machined off and the top welded back on. Am i right? Boy it sure is polished up very nice. In effect shortening it or lowering it some.

Re: Modified Tunnel ram
What does the top/inside look like? Freelander and Blake the Snake have/had modified tunnel rams in a similar fashion. It's hard to tell if the top of the runner has been modded but that's usually where the biggest change is.

tunnel ram
Can you take a measurment to see how much milled off either the top piece or the bottom? I was going to make a fabricated top for mine but this looks very very interesting. This last summer I took my tunnel ram off of my 523 which has a best so far of 10:50 at 128. I had 2 inch risers and 750 cfm single fuel inlet Holleys on it too facing as I refer to it as north and south. It stuck up to far out of the hood for my liking so I bought a "dare I say it (speedmaster) manifold that has a adapter from blower to dual carbs I didn't get a chance to run this setup as it was the last of the season and it got cold and wet. But I did take it out on the highway near my house and did 2 launches. One from a dead stop and one from about 40mph. Strangely enough it felt really strong in fact the 40 mph rolling start it broke loose and I had to back off. With the tunnel ram and carb spacers on it I have used a pair of Edelbrock 750's and switched to the Holleys and it was kind of a tie both about 128 and right near 10:50. The car weighs with me in it slightly over 3600 lbs.
