429 piston
I need to find a single piston for a 429 ford 385 series 1977 engine. I broke one of the pistons removing stuck oil rings. Pictures to follow.

Re: 429 piston
Ford did not produce a 429 in 1977. The passenger car 429s were produced from 1968-1973, then the Commercial 429s from 1979-1997 or so. The Commercial 429s and light duty 429s use pistons that are entirely different from each other. Please describe the features of the piston needed or provide a picture.
1973 not 1977, my my typing mistake
Oops. The year is 1973. The engine is out of a 1973 LTD 2door.
The picture is a side view and it shows the marking "429 -X". I have another picture that shows the top.
Even though the picture attached in the next post of mine is small, it takes a while to load into the post.
Thank you.

429 slugs
Hi:
I have a complete set of stock size pistons out of a 1970 429, flat top with one valve relief. The 1968-71 429´s used this type piston that gave them a nominal CR of 10.5 : 1. Later pistons had an inverted dome that lowered the CR to about 8.2. A small piece of the skirt on one piston has broken off years ago and it does not seem to affect operation. No scratches on cylinder walls upon removal. $150 plus. s&H (I am overseas) Stock 4.36" bore, CAST.
If you are using the D3VE - AA heads then you may get a CR of around 9.00 :1 with the ´70 cast slugs.
I also have a nice set of CJ / SCJ forged pistons L2366-F made by TRW for Ford for the CJ / SCJ for 1970-71 and possibly the PI engines for 1971-72.
$275+ S&H
You can have either set. I am overseas so shipping will be more than from the next town over. PM me if interested.

Re: 429 piston
Just came across a set of used take-out OEM 1973 429 pistons, still hanging on the rods. Call me directly if you're still interested, otherwise they will be pressed off the rods about 72 hours from now....
429 piston
Thank you. However, the block needs to be bored so I don't need a piston anymore. Only one cylinder is out of spec.
