"New to Me" Truck..what to do?
I bought a '74 F250 2WD C/S a couple weeks ago and I really want to do something with it. It has a sweet running SBF/NP435 4spd and a Dana 60 rear. It's in suprisingly good shape and it's a blast to drive. I bought it to pull my car trailer and go to work in but I want to play with it a little too. I have about $600 left over to put into it right now. She's 100% stock. I'd like to try and make it look a little cooler and not mess with the running gear. What would you do (on the cheap)

The only thing I would do is scrub the overspray off the chrome and tires,

Mothers will do wonders on the alum trim and will make it look new and shiny, then sand it and put a new coat of paint on her , a set of wheels and then ride in style

Don't get me wrong. I love these trucks. I have a couple of 'em.
But your paint seems to match a little better than mine.

I'd just buy gas for it!! A bit of clean-up and drive the wheels off it.

I love dog dish hubcaps, just not those lol. I was noticing the aluminum right below the hood is cracked and the front bumper is tweaked a little. I think I'll just clean the truck up and get it all straight, maybe just leave the hubcaps off and paint the wheels like this green one (this one looks awesome)

Re: "New to Me" Truck..what to do?
Okay I just decoded the VIN and I guess this truck came with a 460 in it. Hmmm. Why would somebody swap out a big block? Whatever I guess. I couldn't imagine having a BBF with that 6.xx granny gear pulling good lord! Also, all this time I thought I'd been pulling the choke cable I really wasn't doing shit lol. It's not even hooked up I don't think there is a choke lol. I thought she was a little stubborn starting on these cold days. It's a motorcraft 2100 2bbl from what I can tell so hopefully I can get parts I need from the JY.
