It all started with Dads words "wanna race".
edited and reposted from my thread on "the other" page. thread started on 05-02-2009, 08:53 PM
dad bought a 07 c6 a few months back, shortly after i got a bone stock 90 GT. then came those words "wana race". i told him "give me one year".well, the start of my new, huge, limitless money pit as takin off. got my motor and trans yesterday. motor looks great. looks like a fresh rebuild. i got it from a friend whos dad was building it so not sure yet on how much machine work, pistons, rods, crank. pistons look new from outside and theres some work done to heads.

who needs BBQs and fireworks when u have a productive day workin on on your racecar!
made my own master cyl. braclet by cuttin up the stock booster and made my own plunger from booster internals. seem to pump up fine till i ran out of break fluid. let u know how they come out.
couple more pics. yes, the master cylinder isnt centered in my home made bracket. not sure if im gonna redo or not. and no, the home made shaft isnt crooked. pic came out kinda funny
moved the shaft pivot pin on break pedal arm up about 1.5 inches and turned shaft upside down to make angle right. buddy andy got me a steering wheel w/ no airbag too. much better.

trans mount and steering u-joint came in this week. did a mock up on steering, and made usable but not permanant just in case of header clearance. it rolls, stops, and steers. hears a pic. ill take better ones today.

the progress made yesterday afternoon with the help of of my buddy Jeremy. everything went smooth with no problems except messed up threads on a stock torque converter that im not gonna use any how. trimmed the the first three threads off the stud. smooth sailing from there. everything fits great!
pulled it down the street to moms to use her drive way after we bench pressed the c6 in

as much as these things cost, you would think they can put a sticker on straight! as long as everything else is straight, im not to worried.

if you goto the local parts store you can get a manual brake cyl for 25.00. They come from a 84 svo turbo. Your brakes will work alot better, if you need I'll try'n find the part number. It also comes with a new rod that will work with your setup.

Ahh, brings back memories. FWIW, I would ditch the intake for a torquer II. You wont regret it.
