429 cj intake gaskets without exhaust cross over
So I have a 71 429cj with the Rochester carb on it and my choke doesn't work because there is no exhaust cross over to heat the choke stove spring. SOoo...I put an adapter plate and 870cfm Holley with electric choke on it yesterday. Are the gaskets w crossover available? I searched for awhile and gave up trying to find some. Alternatively I wonder how hard it would be to find an electric choke for the Rochester.... Also, my engine is basically stock w perhaps a slightly larger cam than stock. Is that 870 vac secondary going to be ok or will I need to modify something?

Here is a the marine gasket, below, they usually came with SCJ intakes, and std. port heads, also the Kohler generator 460's are the same. The one (Kohler) I worked on had the metal tabs but, no holes in them like the marine gasket. It had an SCJ intake with std. passenger car heads with no casting numbers and gaskets matched the intake. They were the black Print-To-Seal.

You can try and double check the part number or get someone to measure the port of one, they look like CJ's to me though. A marine shop could check, or Lem here knows being the Boat Guy.
I don't think you can convert a Divorced Choke Q-Jet to electric? They make electric conversion kits for the Hot-Air Q-Jets but, that's not what came on a 429CJ.
Put a SCJ intake on it if you want the most out of a square flange Holley. Get a late model one off a Boat for much less then a original SCJ date coded one. A Holley 750 Double Pumper would be my suggesting, if you are not racing it and want better mileage and low end response.
PS: You can go manual choke on your Quadrajet.

I haven't actually announced these yet but since we're on the subject I might as well let the cat out of the bag in case anyone needs one.
Excellent Part, Lighting Speed Shipping and Good Prices.
Thanks Paul

I have seen some GM cars having an electric choke on a Quadrajet carb with an entire non-divorced choke unit so, I know they are out there.
Some "cross-breeding" of the carb will be required to change the choke from a "divorced choke" to an "internal choke".
