Horsepower guesses
I'm putting together a kaase boss 9 headed deal. It'll be right at 12:1 compression, 545 inches, on alchohol with a kaase roller cam, 272/280@.050 .731/.717 lift on a 109 cam. Kaase single plane intake and 2-1/4 open headers. Heads and intake are as cast. I've looked through past posts and can't seem to come up with similar builds

As Cast Heads and Intake 12/1 Big Roller 545 Small Bore/? Non A/Eliminator Block.
I'll go with 950 to 1000HP at 6,800 to 7,100 RPM.

Yes I plan to if the machine shop ever calls to say my stuff is ready to pick up

The 552 or 557 Dynoed around here at .060" or .080" over made I believe 927 or 930HP with the SR-71 Heads and a Little smaller cam maybe, but, he had I think 14/1 compression.
Yours Should do nicely also. It's a lot of HP for Sure.

very similar build
thats very close to my build,557 c and c block,kaase ported b9 heads,kaase ported intake,272 280 @.050 cam,1250 qft,11.6 compression,ran on 91 cali pump gas with some octane boost made 912 @7,000.730 torque @ 5300.2 1/4 home built dyno headers.more compression than i wanted but just have to mix a little race gas in it.

I still think not enough Intake and Carburation are Holding these Engines Back some.
A Tight Dyno and not up to snuff gasoline will not help any either.
On my D9 I am torn between going 12 to 14/1 or trying to stay pump gas.
It will not see many street miles and with the nitrous will need race gas anyway.
I can get E-85 so will maybe/likely go for the compression.
One of my Ford Bud's That ran 5.0 Cyote's with Hellions, said they picked up 100 Dyno HP from Race gas by Just Switching Tanks to E-85 at around 1,500HP on Turbo's. He Went 204 in The Texas Mile With It.
Kinda Sold me on the Corn after Hearing That.

557 boss
fyi chris at kaase told me i may not pick up much hp with the porting,so i cant say for sure how much it helped.flow was 460 @.700 on the intake after porting.i know another 2 points of compression and 10 degrees on the cam would of helped.also,i should have had a 2.400 intake valve put in as that would have made a good bump!but funny thing about kaases guys if you dont ask the questions they dont offer much,as i was not told to use a bigger intake valve,i would have for sure if i had thought about it.so yes pump gas 557 900 or so hp easy!with your combo.
lift onmy cam was .743.so not sure if cams are same.i could post cam card.

Nice Horsepower Numbers and that's a cool looks like 68 Fastback and that Boss 557 Engine looks Bad Ass in it!!

^ With That Combo, I am Still Going to Stick with at Least 950HP at The RPM Range in my Previous Post.
If it Don't Quite Make That Much, I Would Try a Set of 1.8 Ratio Rockers, if Possible, and See What Gives.
