SBF Alky timing and plugs
Where’s a good place to start on a SBF for timing and plugs?
Z304 heads
14:1 347
Ron’s injection on a Victor Jr. tuned & flowed for methanol
Mid sized mechanical roller
1 3/4 - 1 7/8 step headers
Power glide

The particular fuel volatility has a lot to do with it.
With alcohol, to much timing does not seem to hurt much but, with that head, 30 degrees is a good starting place.
Running up to 18% rich doesn't seem to hurt any power either but, oil dilution and spark plug fouling are the downfalls.
NGK "BKR8EIX - 2668" work well with 14/1 compression ratio.

on my 347, 13:1 with victor jr heads and intake, toilet bowl, i ran best at 32 degrees locked out. Ran a Ar3933 autolite plug, but have gotten away from autolites, ngk 5238 is the cross reference that i run now.
