MEL engines Empty MEL engines

Post  schmitty January 9th 2010, 11:28 pm

I have a friend that has replaced a 430 MEL engine in an old Lincoln and wants to get rid of the engine/trans. Where would one find the people who have some desire for these old engines. I think he would entertain just about any decent offer for it if someone here wants it, and if need be I could bring it to the Tech Seminar. Cool

My brother still builds those MELs for street rods. What year is it? The most desireable are the 1958-1960 . He likes them because their a Ford and they have a unique appearance, and the 3" tall intake ports! Even stock these things make 500ft lbs of torque, pretty fun in a 2500lb street rod.

I believe it's an early 60's. If your brother would be interested in it let me know. I will send you a PM with my phone#. Cool
