12" wheel vs 10" wheel

What are the advantages of running a 12" wheel with a 10.5 tire, compared to a 10" wheel with the same 10.5 tire? Some say there is a better contact patch, others say it stabilizes the car on the top end. Has anyone tried this, & does it work? Thanks, gowie

Everything you said and stiffens the side wall too. I had to also run tubes to get my 28x10.5's side walls to hold up.

yep all of what you said............put a bunch of rim screws in the sucker so it wont try to unseat the bead with big mph.
