Flex Plate? "running true"
I inspected my brand new Scat Flex plate and noticed that if I lay the plate down on a flat surface it has a very small amout of "rock" to it in one direction. (very small amount) Is this anything to worry about?

Work bench. I turned the plate around to nake sure it wasn't the surface and the rock stayed in the same place.

Scat SFI flexplates suck. End of story.
To put it into perspective, I had nothing but trouble with my Scar unit. Out of round, runout, you name it. Yanked that piece of crap out and put in a parts store flexplate and have had absolutely zero problems since.

I can't remember if mine is a Scat or Cat but it had some run out and i had to use a shim with the starter. If not it would make a little noise when turning over i bought the shim at Napa,Later Mark.
