Hey guys how is the shut down @ this track for a 3450 lbs radial car that runs 4.90's ?

If the brakes fail, then the chute doesn't open, then the high corn at the end will slow you down .

Won't be much high corn in May, just be ready to bail, when you cross the stripe, instead of pulling the rip cord, unbuckle your harness.

Since Bobby Small sold his car,there most likely won't be any door cars there in the 4's. will probably be the closest.

put your money were your mouth is ...... 4.90's off the trailer on 1 gun and trust me there is plenty of room on this TR for multiple guns , trust me just ask Prock

corn? empty fields? hell we have a nice soft tractor dealership at the end at Sooner...........its every bit as short as windy. Just be sure the brake pads are in good shape.

Bobby Small's 4.90 passes were "all motor" passes in his Mustang. He has run some 4.80's at other tracks that were a little smoother. I don't know who will have the low qualifying door car this year.

There will be several new BB Ford powered dragsters at the Bash this year. I know of four or five new dragsters and hopefully a few more that will make it. I think we see some 4.40's out of the dragsters.

Your right on the money with Bobby's car weight. He stopped it with no chute. BUT if "anything" happens in the shutdown area at all........you will not get stopped.My master cylinder bracket broke one time, I'm really thankful I was at Ohio Valley with a really long shutdown for an 1/8 mile track. I made the last turnoff at about 35 mph. Next pass after I fixed it ,I threw the chute for the 1st time.I liked it,and so does the spectators I'll be throwing mine if I'm 5.50 or faster. Bring that 4.90 car , I love watching you really fast guys!!! That's awesome

Nos, does not count as a race motor, thats only for guys that can't make them run, kinda like a motor on a stick, not real race cars, I've heard them dragsters, were made for guys that can't drive a door car. that' what I hear around here.
