My old cell phone camera sucks lol
I go up there about once a week, so that shouldn’t be an issue!

Re: so finally the new
got the trans in , brought it up to Andy so he could make the mounts for it.
It was only slightly more expensive than a comparable Powerglide and should hold up alot longer. beleive it or not it is as light as a glide. or it feels like it when you carry it anyway.

Re: so finally the new
The interesting thing is a number of the blown Outlaw/ADRL P/M's around here have switched to the Lenco Drive (vs the norm of a clutch & Lenco) in the past year or so. And with the switch they are faster now which is a surprise since some of the guys had tried them a few years ago & ran slower. I don't know exactly why but I'm guessing the traction control boxes some guys are using just work better with a converter vs a clutch. And I'm guessing the torque multiplication of a converter could be a benefit to a blown motor helping things along till the blower is at full song.
One guy told me that while his team doesn't use the traction control box during actual competition, they do use it during any/all testing & record where on the different tracks the box pulled out timing to stop any spin. Then they use that info to adjust their engine management system accordingly for each track (and lane). Some of the guys that were running 4.00's to 3.90's with the clutch have now jumped to running 4.80's & 4.70's with the converter & lenco Drive.
Damn interesting.......

4.80's = slower than 4.00's Dave... am I missing simething or was it a typo?
Re: so finally the new
Ooops.....meant 3.80's & 3.70's.
Can't even blame that one on beer, just a damn brain fart.

Re: so finally the new
Mike, I dont think so either. Andy made the motor plate in house. It looks too small to hold the motor in there! lol
Got the rods in last week, should have a motor together before too much longer. The one in the pic is a mock up. Andy has been waiting on a completed motor before he finishes the front. Keeps from having to re grind powder coating off.
