ford heads

i have a set of c9ve-a ford heads with roller rockers and comp rods and springs just want to know how much they are worth thanks

Tell us a little more info. Do they have big valves, any porting,etc.

yes they have large springs the heads came out of my jet boat

and they look like they have had some porting work done

cool thanks i had someone look at them and they said the oval port heads i have are rare and worth 800 hundred a side so i just wanted to see what they are worth

The factory style heads are all oval port. Sold my last set for $150. Good luck getting $1600 out of yours...

Takota, We aren't cutting your heads at all. They are really a decent head if they have some work done to them. And it is true. All of the oem 429/460 style heads are oval port,the bad,better and the best.They don't become rectangle until you get into the Race heads. Sorry man, just answering your

I never said they were garbage, simply that they weren't worth what you were told. You need to be pissed at the " someone " who told you they were worth that kind of money. Unless they were the iron SCJ heads and had a ton of work done to them would they be worth anywhere near that figure. It doesn't sound like you are truly a Ford fan from your statement, too bad.

no not at all had yhem on my jet boat and blew a few motors and sold the boat and kept the heads but have no use for them anymore the guy said they were indy heads are you faamiliar with that i have know idea

Id like to meet that guy thats been telling you that garbage. I can tell you w/o a dought he doesn't have a clue about any Ford engines. As far as I know INDY doesn't make any Ford heads, they ARE into the Chrysler engines heavy though.

Indy heads are MOPAR stuff..... Now Your really lost. Get some pictures before we go any farther. you need t determin just what you really have to get what there really worth. Its like selling ocean front property in Arizona
