Unfortunately I don't have a big truck to tow with, but I do have good friends that have helped me out. Here's one of three trucks that have towed my junk, Mike Stevens F350.

The big shop you have more than compensates for lack of a big tow rig.

I was called to Florida for a Hurricane disaster and was having warranty work done to the power steering. So, I left it in the shop and stayed in a Hotel until it was done. I hired my father-n-law to bring it to me. He drove all day and most of the night and ran into the back of a slow moving watermelon truck coming out of a rest stop outside of Gainsville. The generator was running when he hit and it caused an electrical fire. He escaped with a broken leg and some major cuts and bruises. He called me at midnight , when I asked what he was doing calling me so late, he said "I'm sitting here on the side of the road watching your motorhome burn ". I said uh, no way and he handed the phone to the nice police officer. It was by far my favorite coach that I had owned, but not a fancy as the new one. My wife picked out the black one. Plus, it matches my Excursion and has power to spare!

For the Green/White coach?
That fire was about a $50,000.00 mistake because I was under-insured. Not very smart for someone that works in the business. But, we live and learn, and pay outragous taxes!

Would show you mine but everyone laughed at me at the Bash (Dan and Bruno) so I'll have to pass. I will try and borrow a real truck to get to the Bash this year.

I thought the same thing when I went to Colorado... no one laughed, they just didn't mess with the guy with the really old truck. It is gonna be hard to beat my old 79 F250 for a cheap tow rig.knrclark wrote:Would show you mine but everyone laughed at me at the Bash (Dan and Bruno) so I'll have to pass. Rick, I didn't know you laughed at my truck, I'm truly hurt. haha
I checked around and no one owns a FORD around here. I guess I'll just have to haul my crap up there again with the GMC. She has 213,000 miles on her now, 60 lbs. of oil pressure (knock on wood). I hope she'll make it up the mountain at least one more time. Hillbilly Erv and I are going to convoy up this year so we both should be OK. See you there Rick.

Bruno, At least I can say Dan started it. I'll be there...by any way or any brand that will take me. My Stepson is in the Middle East and he left his brand new Dodge in my driveway. I might wear a mask and pull my car up there with his new truck.
