New Toy / not a BB
95 Cobra. 70,000 mile car, has a 408 stroker with 12 to 1 slugs. AFR 225 heads, Big solid roller, Kooks headers, X-pipe, PA c4, 33 splines with 4:10's. All the wiring is Spaghetti Menders, It is awesome stuff.
Sounds great, really strong. 2nd pass out with it was a 6.64 and 10.39 in the 1/4 at 130+. Traded my 2000 roller for it even up.

Re: New Toy / not a BB
nice.
A guy that runs with us uses those heads on a 434 and has run a 5.24 on a single fogger. He only weighs in the 2800 lbs range though and doesn't class race. He is a TNT king.

Whenever this one dies, it's going bigger and Dart block with spray. I believe 8's would be no problem.

I would hope so. We've been running 8's with a 200 shot on a 418. Of course it probably was a lot more motor but stuffin a big ole BBF in it will solve that problem.

Nick,
I agree his rolling chassis was a nice looking ride. But i would rather have a turn key car start it up and listen to it rumble.I think that beats the roller car you woud have to sit in it and make your own engine rumble noises.

If they are different than a Holley, I could use a few pointers. Thanks.

Re: New Toy / not a BB
Well the 408 is dead. Pulled it today. Oil in the water and wants to lock up after about a full rotation with a ratchet on the crank bolt??????? Hoping a little machine work and new bearings and such and she'll be ready to go.

Sounds like it's got water standing in the cylinders. Possible blown HG

The plugs were out and nothing came out, but the exhaust ports are I guess you could say caroaded(spell) up some, you know the white stuff that shows up on aluminum. I'm hoping it didn't bend rod. Suppose to be h-beams.

Re: New Toy / not a BB
UPDATE! Got some good news. Got things tore apart today, #7 cylinder had a piece of a bolt in it!! It put just a few thread marks on the head and piston surface, but that is about it. Im going to get the valves and rod checked out. Putting new bearings all around and rings, some cometic head gaskets and button her back up. Hope to have it ready for the bash
