Re: New Toy / not a BB
Man, I have no clue. Tire must have kicked it up or something. I keep the cap on it all the time in the pits. It looks odd, it had about 3/8" of thread then a hollow smooth shaft squished of course, but the in shaft it was threaded overall it looked like a peice of a carb stud. Can't figure out what it could be from.

Re: New Toy / not a BB
i had the filter stud come out one time on my 351c with 4v heads it was about 3'' long went down the carb and through the valve and got on top of the piston and smash the crap out of the stud only put a couple small spots on the piston it was a trw forged flat top and 1 little mark on the head didn't bend a valve or do any other damage i have never figured out how it went though the valve and got on top of the piston with out bending the valve.I had stoped at a red light pulled off and when it shifted to 2nd the engine shout off bumped it on nutural hit the starter would do anything so i costed in to a store on the other side of the intersection got out to check didn't dawn on me to check the carb got a socket out and tried to turn the engine it would turn backwards around and lock up then back farward around then lock up.so I called my brother to pull it to his house sent his house was 10 miles closer than mine. When we got there I went to pull the airfilter off and only had the little pretty crome ford ovel wingnut laying on top we was going to pull the engine until I found the stud missing. You want see a wingnut on any of my stuff that i can't see the stud any more.
