Re: Billet Badges arrived today
I got them from www.billetbadges.com. When you go to the site you can see lots of examples of what's available. The price is based on the size, colour(s) ect. What you see for mine was $50 each. When I wrote Steve at Billet badges he replied:
"We use Kiitmura CNC mills. We can get pretty intricate if we need to. Typically we use a 0.048 diameter mill bits, but have gone down as fine as a 0.015". The smaller the mill bit, the longer the run time and the more the badge will cost."
"All designs are modeled and a rendering is e-mail to you for your approval. If the design needs to be adjusted, I will make the changes and resubmit the rendering to you for approval. Only after the design is approved will the file be submitted for machining. Turnaround time on custom orders is typically about 3-4 weeks from when a design is approved and payment is received. Please let me know if you have any other questions and would like to place an order."
"Also I will not be able to put "F-150" on the badges due to trademark issues with Ford. I have received a cease and desist letter from Ford’s attorneys and I can no longer create badges that have a Ford trademarked name or logo on them."
I can say that I'm 100% pleased with them and because of this wanted to share the site with you guys if anyone else was interested in this.
