Not bad, turn signal lever will take getting used to, power is good, dont like the hood so much.
Looks a lot more mechanic friendly, this one had a failed urea tube heater, its like they were gonna send in the FBI with all the damn questions........................
Glad they bolted the grill on the front of the truck instead of the hood this time.

A good friend of mine took delivery of his last week, he loves it so far. Says it has really impressive power and drives and rides way better than his 06.

Check out the exhaust system.
Check out that massive exhaust. I helped design the robot line that welds that thing together. I spent the majority of last summer working on that project. The DPF, DOC, Urea Injector, Mixer and SCR system weighs over 100 lbs. I hope you don't have to replace any of those because they would be a pain to weld in a service replacement part.

Mine is supposed to be here next week. Don't care about anything other than it stay together and work day in and day out. Kinda excited about the truck and also nervous about it as it will have to put food on the table. Hopefully, ford did their homework on this one.

I like the fact the exhaust unbolts and comes out easy, that is when the turbo pukes and fills it with oil lol.
was real impressed with the power, tranny shifts nice and snappy like it should.

Well, if they can please their toughest critic, it must be ok. Hope it has a lot more jam than those 6.0 gutless wonders. Had a load of yearlings in the trailer the other day, and had to go through a bad mudhole to get away from the loading chute, but I wasn't worried because it was downhill for 50 feet before the bad spot. Wrong, it never even got up on the turbo, it was still basically idling when I plowed into the mud and sunk it. I know it's not running right because I can't get as much boost out of it as I used to, but even back then it was awful. If you get stuck, you can't even rock yourself out without putting it in 4 LOW. What's the throttle response like on the 2011's?

When Adam was testing the power of those deisel engines at my facility he would stop by and see me and show me the HP & TQ dyno numbers! I don't know why Ford chose not to put the real HP & TQ numbers on the window stickers! If the public knew how much power these deisel engines have in them they would be flying out of the show room regradless of price.
I won't put the numbers on here but I'm sure Adam will!!!

Damn! If you're happy it must be a good one!
I'm still waffling between my 7.3 or my 6.4....
Adam said those things cranked out some power during testing and did it all with legal emmissions.

4.10 rearend, tranny is a full tilt custom job I did for myself (I used to build high end e4 4r's for the diesel nuts lol)
since then the 7.3 just has a custom fuel supply setup, 180cc single shot injectors, modded factory turbo (gutted ebp housing, wicked wheel and an ATS housing) a modded Ford aftermarket intake set up, hp crossover, custom 4 pos chip, Joe Servo IDM.........thats about it. I'd guess 800ftlbs at the rear wheels and 350hp give or take.
Not as clean as the newer ones, but it dont smake near as bad as one would think, and the oil stays real clean, about 1000X cleaner than a 6.4..............if I had one which I never will I'd have to change the oil every week.

Man, that sounds like a strong package. The biggest part of it is knowing what will work with everything else I guess.
If you were to do any stop light draggin - which I'm sure you don't - you would surprise many a pony car!!
