Put the scoop on and do all your body work.Prime it flat black,If it don't suit you,Squirt it yellow then.I bet it would look killer black though. ---RED

Re: Guy's I need your opinions
How about a taller cowl or second cowl on top of the one you have? Flip the one on top around, there you go. Forced cowl induction.

Rick,
If you like working with fiberglass, you can raise the cowl a few inches

Rick,
If you like working with fiberglass, you can raise the cowl a few inches Idea
The only thing is, it might be difficult to get the air in the carb properly. like being 5'4" standing in a room that's 4' high. It would be sort of close to the cowl, that is unless he REALLY raises the roof. raise da roof!

Re: Guy's I need your opinions
I have to agree with alot of the guys , your car has such clean flowing lines as it is...I wouldnt change a thing othe as Damon said.. Just take your Cowl scoop as it is now and just add to the side's... that way you can keep the same lines on the hotrod....It looks so good as it is..one of the sharpest Coons I have seen in a long time.. Well Dan the ford mans Coon looks down right top shelf too....

The real scoop
I like the naked metal scoop more that the "pro" type.
We really need to develop an exaggerated teardrop bubble that will accommodate tall BBF top ends.
I really hated to modify my "58 with a pro type scoop to cover the tunnel ram.
My car looked much more "correct" with the '64 Galaxie/Thunderbolt type teardrop bubble.
I saw one on the guys black 65 or 66 Galaxie that was on this site 2 years ago for sale.
I e-mailed him to ask who made the teardrop....but got no reply.
Maybe a new KFM product for 2011????
Either way that gets air to your mill will be fine with me!

Keith,
I had the 65 that you are talking about. Probably my fault for not keeping my e-mail address current. I had a friend of mine who is almost 70 re-invent the teardrop. We took the original Crites 4" T-drop hood and bought an additional second T-drop scoop from Crites, then started grafting it together. It was a lot tougher than it looked. Trying to get the sides to stay round and tapered and not look hacked up. Frank had probably a good week in fitting the thing together. He said when it was done that if it wasn't mine he would have just given up.
