I had around 200 1/8 mile passes.I was going to change them this winter, but they didn't make it.The funny thing is that the best we can tell the beam didn't fail.It pulled the threads out then the crank chopped the rod in half. This engine had broke a couple oilpumps and had been apart a few times.I bet if they would have been left alone they would have made this winter no problem.I cured that problem with a Kaase pump.Wes

Weld all the cracks up, sleeve it and put a Pro Comp sticker on it. Someone on ebay would buy for sure....Wes Littrell saying hello - Page 2 Jerry

Sucks to hear Wes. Good to hear Lem got you hooked up.

Cody, what are you doing on here? Shouldn't you be out winning rounds in that bracket machine?

That really sucks Wes, Glad you are grtting a good start on it before the Bash. Coming to the Bash w/o the ole Black truck would be like having a family reunion dinner w/o desert. Sad
Good luck Buddy Smile

Yes sir, that's how they fail. Especially if they've been re-torqued a few times. We won't put more than 50 runs on a set of aluminum rods and we run the lightest components we can buy. I think your choice of a steel replacement rod is a good idea.

Oh, and welcome to the forum Wink
