I seen that pass but didn't get it on film.
What a wild ride. That pinto was up in the air 3 different times on that pass.

Re: Alky Pinto Wheelstand!!!!!!!
Well guys,
That pass was during eliminations on Saturday, and it wasn't up in the air three times, it was up in the air one time for a LONG 330'. Kristina Lawyer in her dragster was in the other lane, and probably gave Rick about .700 head start. I was announcing from the tower, and said a silent little prayer hoping it would go straight, or Rick could possibly come down in her lane about the time she caught up with him. Krisse said she watched that wheelstand all the way down the track ,,, and was a little nervous about going all out in her lane. She was tempted to lift, because it was almost an accident waiting to happen. Congratulations to Rick for doing a fine job of driving. She got the win light, however I don't know if it was a situation where she "won" the race or if Rick "lost" the race due to the wheelstand. Maybe Todd will find that time slip and post the incrementals.
I had a chance to talk to Rick when he came up to the tower, and he is certainly a "good guy". He seemed geniunely excited about racing with the Band of Brothers at Windy Hollow and paid Phillip Oakley several compliments about the track prep, the traction, and etc. I think Route 66 at Joliet is his home track.

Re: Alky Pinto Wheelstand!!!!!!!
Thanks guys, I sure had a blast at the bash! I had this posted
under a different thread so will add it here. Oh and I've got a
passenger seat and belts.....
By any chance did anyone get video of my car 4th round
of SPRO when it decided it was on a quest for Wheelie King?
I swear it was still up at the 330'? Guess I'll bring the wheelie
bars next year?
This was my first year at the BBF Bash. What a GREAT time
and GREAT bunch of people! I finally got to meet some of you
guys in person. Thanks for a really fun event. Never had
crawdads before, very interesting. Shrimp were fantastic.
Thanks for the hospitality guys! Kudos to the Windy Hallow
staff as the track was prepped and hooked awesome! I had
better numbers at Windy Hallow then I did a week prior at
Rt66 in Joliet, where they have unlimited funds and 50
people working on the track. GREAT JOB GUYS!!!!
See you at Norwalk,
Rich

All hail the Pinto!
Pat (from Jersey) and I were watching from the stands and we both jumped up cheering after the "best wheelie I have ever seen in person" pass. Huge congrats for keeping it up that long!

That was a great wheelie! That little Pinto reminded me of a radical Hot Wheels car, everytime I saw it run. That wheelie was worthy of a high five from James and I.
