An update on the drags:
August 19, 2009
Subject: IMM 30 Drag Event!
I confirmed with Gordy today at the Yellowstone Drag Strip and he is excited to have the Mustangs out at the strip on Saturday, September 5th. We will want to be there between 5:30 & 6:30 to tech our cars. They will run us as a seperate group and call us to the lines to run only against other Mustangs! The cost will be $25 per car that you pay at the dragstrip. Just tell them your with the International Mustang Meet when you get there and they will know whats going on. To be eligible for a trophey you must have your car registered for the car show and sign up at the performance events table at the holiday inn on Thurs, Friday or Saturday by Noon so I can turn in the final car count to them.
If you know of people with Ford Powered Mustangs (No Half Breeds with slow Chevy or other brand x motors) that want to run they can come out and race, but please have them call me so I can at least add them too my list so I can keep a count of the cars that ran. They don't need to register for the car show, but please let me know the name and car information for my event records.
If we have enough cars. They will do a Gambler's Race for us as well that will be an additional buy in with a payout based on the number of cars participating!
Please Remember:
to bring a Snell DOT 05 or newer helmet
Fire Jacket rated SFI 3.2A/1 or better if you have a non-factory installed power adder such as Supercharger, Turbo, or Nitrous
No Passengers are allowed to ride in the cars.
I encourage everyone to race. It will be a fun and memorable night! It's likely to be the one evening with the most Mustangs out at the Dragstrip that you will see! Who knows you may get to line up against a Boss 429 or something else rare and that would be really sweet! The track is very new and a top notch NHRA track. Please feel free to pass this on to anyone else you would like.
Best wishes,
