They make a special tool to remove the clips, you can try a long needle nose pliers. It's a pain in the ass, I usually wreck the and replace them.

I threw a little fit............ the clips are history It looks to be like Bruno said, the fron light bazel may have to come off. But you can't even see any screws. Hell my 02 lightning you just lift up two clips and the fall right out. This sucks..................

I just did that job today. I didnt take out the head light but i did take off the bezel turn sig and side marker . The side marker and turn sig are bolted to the trim/bezel. After you take out the easy to get to screws on the top there are two studs on the back of the turn sig that go through the radiator support, ya cant see them but ya can feel them, one is close to the fender side. If ya take out the grill you can see where the other one goes through the rad. support. That will give ya some idea where to look/feel for the nut. A 1/4" drive deep 11mm socket and ratchet will do the trick. Then ya should see how to take out the head light. I didnt pay attentoin to head light cause i just wanted to paint the grill and bezel.

Truly not one of Fords better ideas. When I rebuilt my 97 PS diesel I ran into all of that BS. On the diesels you have to remove both Batteries. Good Luck Blake.

The silver clip in this pix holds the adjustments screws, there are 3 of them. Just pull streight up and the headlight comes right out.

Drivers side is done and the passenger side is going back in as soon as i cool down and get a drink. (water) almost drove me to drink tho.............
Lonnie the picture were a great help. Their was no way to see those nuts and their location with out seeing the bezel off the truck. I cheated a little and took a 1/4 inch air saw and cut a little opening out of the plastic frame to get to the bottom clip . Also if any one else does this job, O-Riley auto parts stock those pain in the butt clips that hold the lens in.
