I might look into one of those myself....planning on a total re-wire this winter anyway.

Re: look what i ordered...pretty cool
they even make a remote switch panel for like 50 bucks that goes into the engine compartment that controls just the fuel, fan, ignition and starter......pretty cool if you are working alone
there stuff is crazy cheap for what it is, and they are great to tlak to.....cant order from them directly, but summit and jegs has it all! should have mine by friday...they say once you get started you can be done wiring the 8 switches to the car in under an hour!
oh, lifetime warranty

dude, it blew me away....its amazing how easy it is to set up
install swich panel
run the comp cable to the relay center you mount in the glovebox(for me)
run the 6g to the batt side of solenoid
run a ground wire to terminal
run a wire to each acces,
start car and drive off!
i am ordering the remote panel and the access panel tomorow....the acces panel has alll the turn sgnals and light and fuses access already built in...3 different sections. always on, key on, switch on
Re: look what i ordered...pretty cool
if you want let me know, we can talk about it in the hot rod chat room
Re: look what i ordered...pretty cool
Frank,
Good find, that's one of the slickest panels and remote relay systems I've seen.

Re: look what i ordered...pretty cool
After some thought....I have a concern.
The ribbon cable plugs into the top of the switch panel via 8 male/female connections....not much to keep it from vibrating loose in a race car situation.
I realize that you could put some kind of strain relief on the cable....and a well-placed cable-tie would hold it but....
It would be cool to see some type of "positive lock" deal on the connection....just some thoughts.....
I'll still own one by the weeekend...lol.

most ribbon cable has positive locks......i dont think i have been this stoked to get something in a while....this is the last step for me to get to the track.....cant wait to test the under an hour install time!
Re: look what i ordered...pretty cool
ARC has some nice stuff. I've always looked at that in the catalogs but never paid attention to the functions and flexibility. I'll be picking that up for mine when the time comes. I'd probably get the remote too.
Let us know how it works.
Where did you buy it from? I see Jeg's has it listed for under $240.

That is a ton of circuits!!
Sure looks nice and clean. Great find Frank, I too will own one of these!! Are you going to use the stock wiring to each circuit or will you run new wire for everything?

Easy Peasy!
Re: look what i ordered...pretty cool
That is so cool and IMO not over priced compared to some of the other stuff on the market.

It works for me. My relay panel is mounted under the dash on the passenger side.

Re: look what i ordered...pretty cool
ok, now to report on this product.......
so i installed it on monday, and was basically done in about 2 hours once i found all my tools! i was able to mount the panel where the ac/heat controls were, the cool part is the panel fits right behind the stock location! looks like it was made to go there.....
the relay panel is sooooooooooooooooooooooo small....amazing the thought that went into it......the mounting tabs on the relay panel make the grounds! but i did add one addtional via a wire....
the computer cable between the switch and relay panels is sick!
everything is nicely lit, and has leds constantly on so you can find the switches in the dark! told they can be on for weeks with hardly any batt draw, but a battery kill switch will shut it off!
only drawback is the fact that i wanted to use ring terminals on the fuel pump which is run as 12 gauge to the pump, and i had to shave down the sides of the ring terminal a little to make it fit, but no biggie, two minutes and that was fixed...
knowing what i know now, i would haev paid two or three times what i paid for it@
good job auto rod controls, good job!
