largest tire?

Anybody know what's the biggest/largest tire I can get under a basic mini tub? also include rim back spacing size??

6.5" of back spacing will get you there !!!!

I've got a set of 28x13.5 ET Streets that I'm going to make my Fairmont wagon fit. I have a 8.8 narrowed 1 inch each side, 15x10 wheels with a 71/2 inch back space, full mini tub with notched frame, coil overs, and offset lowers. If my calculations are correct it will work. What do you guys think?

D': My car is mini tubbed without the frame being notched and I can fit a 28x13.50x15 ET Street (11" wide same as a 28x11.00 ET Drag) on a 12" wheel with 7.5" B/S with a lot of extra room everywhere. I test fit some Hoosier 28x14.50 Quick Time Pro's (12" wide)and they also fit but it was getting a little tight. My rear is also narrowed a total of 2" (1" per side). Hope this helps.

With a 9" for a mustang,the help of a BFH I got 29-10.5W on 10"W 6.5BS under 88 T-bird and did not need to cut the iner lip. Bruno these are the wheels I got from you. Steve

Big D... Ask nos-stang "Greg" he kind of hard to get a hold of at times..you might go thru Zepherbob and ask..But he runs a mini tubbed 93 hatch and hooks very well.. His ride is almost as big of sleeper as Bruno's...his wheels have a nice dish and look great too.. I dont remember off hand how wide his rubber is..But i do knw its a "W" tire... But this is on a DD...and runs a 133mph 1/4.. Just a thought..

My car is still at TeamZ, it will run the 315/60/15. I have helped mini tub many mustangs over the years, the 29.5x10.5W will fit with notched frame rails.

I am assuming all this is with stock located control arms with coil overs.am I correct?

Denaro: I went with Wolfe Racecraft offset lowers, which give about 1" more clearance between the lower control arm and the tire sidewall if needed. What weight rear springs do you have on your car?

Thanks for posting those pics. Ive got the same anti roll bar and was wondering how to mount the coilover crossbar. Ive still got my stock gas tank. Will that same setup work with it? Is that a coilover kit or did you piece it together?

8liters i know with a mini tub and coil overs it is real tight with the stock tank most have to kick the shocks inwards/facing forward at about a 65* . In my eyes thats not a good ideal if you have to run the stock tank i would have cut down/ notched for the room. Hope this helps out. Jason
