Scammer, Revenge?
Hey guys, I have an engine for sale on a few online forums. I was called by this fellow from Australia(supposedly), and he sounded legit enough. I was a bit leery anyway, and next thing you know he sends me the attached e-mail. I realized right away that it's a scam, but I'm not sure what to do. I had a response full of expletives all typed out, but before I sent it I had a thought. Is there anyway to fuck with him a little bit? You know, pretend to be falling for it to get him all excited, or something along those lines. I realize that I'd probably be better off just ignoring the d-bag, but I figured I'd throw it out to the big block brethren. Could we have some fun here?

I kept one going for a while on a ebay deal. Gathered all the emails I saved and forwarded them to ebay, they sent me a form letter...

Simply tell him again your asking price and any extra money sent by him OR his agent will be considered a gratuity.
Re: Scammer, Revenge?
I had one of these scammers send me a check years ago for an old CB900C I had for sale. The check looked legit - even the bank couldn't say it was fake. So for shits & giggles I deposited it and sure enough..
I found this forum last year poking around when someone else brough this up - http://thescambaiter.com/
Funny as hell - it's worth signing up just to read some of the hilarity these guys put the scammers through

+1 on craigslist !
90 % of everything I sell is thru c/l. If anything is priced right on c/l, it will be gone within days.
When flea-bay starting getting 12 % for the final selling price, I said adios .
