Good gaw,, could you imagine the size valvespring you would have to have to run a 2.600 valve at 1.150 valve lift?? Wouldn't that be something close to a 1,600lb spring.
That there one of them Promod stuff.

Re: idt heads
Josh,
Those heads would use titanium valves only, and no, they don't need to be 1600 lb. valve springs. Rick Smith told me about these heads months ago, and wanted me to buy a set. I think they are most likely a very nice head, however I "balked" at the price. The valve train/ shaft rockers is specific for those heads and if my memory is correct it's from T&D only.

Re: idt heads
A big inch engine that was a max effort deal. Somewhat similiar turf to Thors, E-460s, RD Hemis, the new canted valve ProFilers etc.

Re: idt heads
I wonder if these are the heads that Jay was telling me about a while ago? He said that he had a set that the intake and exhaust were swapped and it made for a straighter port and at the time he figured the flow was going to be close to 650cfm.

The picture shows a head where the intake and exhaust are swapped so this must be the head were Jay was talking about.

Re: idt heads
I can't pull up the link wih this dial-up but, from the descriptions here, I would say that this is the head that Rick Smith designed for Darrin Magadowski's 700+ cid engine.
Rick put a bunch of photos here a couple years ago.
