F350 spring codes (80-97)
Hi guys,
Anyone have the door jamb sticker for a 80-97 F350? I swapped a Dana 60 into my 93 F250, and bolted in an AAL for good measure. Love the ride height, but it rides like a brick due to the super high rate F250 leaves (and that pesky AAL doesn't help). Plus, I get that sweet death wobble when one side takes a shot around 30 mph and the poor shocks can't keep up. I'm pretty sure if I get one more death wobble (and assuming I live through it), the truck will shake itself apart. I see that a lot of lift kit manufacturers use the same spring for F250 and F350, which seems weird since the 250's have about 35% more spring rating due to the TTB geometry. I called a local Ford dealer, but he wants door tag info.
So, anyone know some good spring codes? Mines a 460 truck (of course), I'd like the heavier springs for snow plow duty.
Thanks!
Pete

Perfect! Thanks Shane!
Do you ever get any of that death wobble? My pal gets it occasionally in his 79 F350 too.

I had that problem with a truck once replaced the old cheap shocks with a new set of heavy duty shocks and never had the problem again, also was helping on a bronco with quad shock option one had been removed and it would shake you off the road wobbling reinstalled new shocks and again it was gone.

I have never had any sort of death wobble or anything remotely un favorable in the steering. ive never really had the truck faster than maybe 75... 80 tops... as you can watch the fuel gauge drop with no overdrive and 4.10s and extreme highway speeds.
