Looks like a nice ride. If the rebuild of the truck was done right, there should be no problems. Nice list of options!!
Have you found a trans, or will you rebuild it?

A decent tranny will run 2500-3500 depending on whats done to it, remove the air cleaner and inspect the turbo wheel for signs of dirt ingestion, that and crankcase blowby are a good indication of ring seal, if it appears there has been dirt ingestion run away lol.

RUN AWAY! 166,000 miles, on which part? This truck reminds me of the Johnny Cash song, "One Piece At A Time".

The ad is deleted now.
Why run away at 166K miles? My 2001 has 329,000 on it and while it has some issues (needs injectors) everything else is OK. I stuck a new trans in it at 298K and the rearend and rest of the engine is untouched. No smoking, burning oil, etc...
Good truck. Just rough around the edges from me working it hard.

I wouldn't be afraid of the miles, heck my 05 Dodge has 142k on it and I have taken it all over the place and will hook it up to anything I think it will pull. Last winter a buddy of mine had a semi gel up and I pulled him 4 miles to my shop to thaw it out. The truck and trailer weighed in at 95,000#. Had to use low side of the T/C but I pulled it. Took the truck on several trips that were over 1,000 miles this winter.

Re: need some advice 200 f350 7.3
well i passed it up
i think i am just gonna keep on nursing my old 86 6.9
and this winter do a cummins for it
and a new paint job
yes i said cummins lol
i like the 7.3's but the cummins just seem's to be a better motor
and i can do a few mod's with out breakin the bank
i might start looking for a wrecked dodge with a cummins and just swap my 86 crew cab body on it
kinda like the truck's tv show did
i have all the tools and welders to do just about anything and have accsess to anything else
so i think i am gonna build a truck just how i like it
and custom fit for me
