stock block
i know c-460 heads are ideal on a 4.600 or larger bore but will they work on a .060 over stock block? 2.450 and 1.900 or will the valve hit the block. i was wanting to put together a spare bottom end...thanks

You already have a nice looking bottom end sitting on the bike............

Click on this link:
https://www.429-460.com/proven-builds-f4/cylinder-head-info-gathered-by-djohagin-t122-15.htm
Scoll down about 3/4 of the way down and you'll find "C-Head on smaller bores".
That will give you the info on the smallest you can run.
For your deal, your exhaust valve is too large. You might be able to off-set dowel the head and maybe get the exhaust valve to clear, but you may open a can of worms for other things to work.
Hope that helps,
Dave

C heads on 4.440 bore
I have a engine that uses c heads on a 4.440 bore,..1.75 exh valve,2.4 intake i think(been together a while),its a 4.150 stroke,6.8 rod engine...the combustion chamber to bore line up is ugly,but I didn't tell the engine that....it will push a 2680 lb door car 8.30's @164 with out reving over 7200 for years now.I can dig up more details if you want..Brian

Brian,
The "thing" about Nick is,,,,,,that sometimes you have to get in his face to get his attention.
And,,,,,,you're not that kind of guy. You just speak softly and carry a big stick.
I got his attention one year at the Bash, when I told him that little Kristina Lawyer was going to whip his azz.
